The Organizing Committee is fully aware of the challenges that everyone is facing with the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that the situation will improve over the summer period and that travel and contact restrictions at least within Norway will be relaxed.
We will monitor the corona situation closely and will comply with all advices given by the Norwegian government and health authorities on domestic activities as well as travels across borders. In the case of cancelling the symposium, our priority is to postpond the symposium until the Covid-19 pandemic is under control.
Those who have registered for NECS 2020 will obtain refund of the participation fee immediately after cancellation. Foreigners will be refunded in their local currency with the exchange rate of the registration/payment date.

Recent increases in corona virus infections may worry many of you. However, we can assure you that we during the symposium will strictly follow the regulations given by the health authorities and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of all participants. The current regulations are:  Organized meetings can have up to 200 participants provided social distancing (at least 1 m), good hand hygiene and cough etiquette. Further, participants should show no signs of respiratory infections, not had contact with an infected person for the last 2 weeks and not have entered Norway from a “red” country.

Hotel Alexandra has been open this summer and has mostly been fully booked. The hotel has good experience on corona preventive measures. For the municipality of Stryn, the Vestland county or Norway mainland there are presently no special corona regulations which will influence the conduct of the symposium. Should changes in the corona situation require to cancel the conference, participants will be refunded of their paid conference fees.
